Nose Surgery Review (Immediately after / Day 7 / Day 10)

#### This is my first nose surgery, and it's a completely raw nose that has never even had filler!
The condition of my nose before surgery (Photo 有)
1. Crazy asymmetry
2. Low nose (nose disappears from the side profile ㅎㅎ..)
3. An ambiguous dorsal hump (At some clinics, they called it a hump and charged millions of won extra, while others said they'd fix it as a complimentary service—it was totally crazy)
4. Very wide alar/nostrils (Looking at the "after" photo you might go, "Huh? Who has wide nostrils?" but seriously, when taking a front-facing photo, the W-shaped nostrils were so damn big that they completely stole the spotlight. No other facial features were noticeable)
5. Weak skin (Zero strength to support anything....)
I hope looking at my nose shape helps those who have a similar nose shape or share the same concerns as me!
First of all, I received so many criticisms about my appearance because of my nose when I was young . . . Even my parents said they definitely needed to get my nose done (starting since elementary school ..), saying my nose was so ugly.
When hanging out and taking photos with friends, everyone else took side profile shots, but I remember only ever taking photos of my back ㅠㅠ ...
Because of the asymmetry, front-facing camera photos made me look so ugly, and don't even get me started on the side profile ... Looking like the pre-op photos was already a good outcome (my nose just wasn't visible@@).
While on a leave of absence from work, I decided to go ahead with nose surgery with the mindset that I quickly had to do something about my nose first. (A few days before the surgery, I even had a dream about getting a nose job lolol)
I was looking for a way to improve my asymmetry and fix my insecurities without undergoing major surgeries like facial contouring or double jaw surgery, so I went ahead with rhinoplasty / forehead lift.
Currently, at 15 days post-op, I am truly satisfied! !
Dr. Kim Sung-hoon of Kim Sung-hoon SH Plastic Surgery, who has become my second father ... my true creator, has given my face a new life haha. Seriously, Dr. Kim Sung-hoon’s touch is now more prominent on my face than my dad's genes lololol.
To boast a bit more about the doctor: as someone who received quotes from about 50 clinics just for rhinoplasty, I met all kinds of ???? doctors. Doctors who were heads of clinics in title only but truly looked down on people, doctors who left after explaining for just 10 seconds, and doctors who told me unconditionally to operate using septal cartilage without even looking at my nose. . . But Dr. Kim Sung-hoon—ah.. no, my second father who gave me a new life—listened carefully to exactly what I was worried about and made great efforts to tailor the surgery to those needs.
Especially when I took photos from the side, my nose didn't show up. My nose doesn't ???? show from the side profile—what kind of nonsense is that? My nose was really low and my cheeks were chubby. From the front, there was asymmetry and nostrils as huge as a fist. I was first of all touched because he listened to all this whining.
At another large hospital, N Plastic Surgery, they said, "Asymmetry cannot be fixed by a doctor, not even by God. If you want to fix the asymmetry, you must get double-jaw surgery." And among private clinics famous for eyes and noses that frequently show up on Gangnam Unni, one said, "If you do the nose like this, well, there's plenty of space so we can raise it, but the asymmetry will stay as it is. It can't be helped."
Seriously. Of course, I also knew that asymmetry couldn't be fixed without double jaw surgery. But because it was such a huge insecurity of mine, hearing that double jaw surgery was the only way to improve it kept making me feel so upset.
I came this far completely ready to give up, but thinking, "Just one last time before going home...", I visited SH Plastic Surgery. It was truly the kindest consultation out of all the general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, and gynecology clinics I've ever visited in my life, and they listened to all my needs. . .
Knowing that my face was asymmetrical all over and that my nose was crooked too ... I asked, "My asymmetry is really severe, isn't it. . ." To which the doctor replied, "No, your asymmetry is not that severe. Everyone has asymmetry, and in your case, it's not severe and falls well within the normal range. I'll try to align the nasal asymmetry while elevating it. However, as you know, perfect symmetry might be difficult."
Like, seriously ???? girls, come look over here, where else can you find a doctor like this! Where else could you find such a doctor!!@ As soon as I heard this, I thought to myself, "I have to get my surgery here, absolutely have to."
Even big clinics said it wasn't possible and told me NO, so how could I not be touched when he said he would do his best to meet my needs ㅠㅠ. . . Honestly, at this point, you girls need to take Dr. Kim Sung-hoon as your father too. Quickly! !
The atmosphere in the operating room was great. Of course, swelling and pain after surgery were inevitable, but by the time the surgery ended, it exceeded the scheduled time and was past 9 PM, so I felt so sorry that all the clinic managers and OR staff couldn't leave work. But instead, looking even happier than I was, they smiled brightly and said, "Ms. OO~ your nose turned out so well," and the manager in charge of me also said, "Ms. OO!! The doctor said your nose ???? turned out super great, you know?? It hurt, right? Let's just bear it for two days and quickly take out the cotton packing ????." Hearing that... wow, this was the first time I experienced such an atmosphere, including surgeries I had because I was sick, not just cosmetic ones lol. Everyone was celebrating even more than if I had gotten a promotion at work, so I was so grateful. Even though they couldn't get off work on time because of me, without a trace of fatigue, they told me to get home safely and packed ice packs and medications for me ... I was so touched that today, on the day of getting my stitches out, I even got additional procedures done!! ❤ In the future, I'm getting all my procedures and surgeries from my father and the manager unnie @!
When they removed the splint after surgery, my first thought was, "Wow, enduring this pain was totally worth it."
Insane... To be honest, more swelling needs to go down, and they say most people feel disappointed when the splint comes off and just wait for the swelling to subside, but I'd be happy even if the swelling didn't go down and my nose stayed like this forever.
Also, since I'm a big scaredy-cat, I had the stitch removal done under sleep anesthesia along with other minor cosmetic procedures. The manager worried about me more than anyone, asking if I really needed sleep anesthesia, and when I said I was scared, she kept coming in and out of the operating room to check on my condition until I went into surgery. Ah, I'm truly so, so touched ???? Every time I went in for a checkup, the manager came in and put up with all my fussing ㅠㅠ . . .
And after the surgery, every time I went in for follow-ups and dressing changes, the head doctor personally did the dressings. This is the first plastic surgery clinic like this in my entire life. The head doctor performs the surgery all by himself, does the dressings personally, and meticulously checks the post-op recovery—I wondered where else a person like this could exist. Every time I went, he asked if there was any discomfort, any worries, any bleeding, anything bothering me, or any questions I had ... Even though I'm timid and asked all kinds of silly questions, he answered them all, and I was so grateful.
I feel like all the legwork I did was totally worth it. I made a great connection with SH Plastic Surgery, the last clinic I visited, and after 2n years, I've finally blown away all the stress about my asymmetric nose and the fact that my nose never showed up in profile pictures because it was so low.
For about three days right after the surgery, it was so painful, swollen, and hard to breathe and eat. But the moment the splint was removed, it felt completely worth it. To the head doctor at SH Plastic Surgery, the managers, and the operating room staff, thank you so much for taking such great care of me and helping me recover. ????????
