JoyMG Holds 'Renuvion' Small-Group Seminar at SH Plastic Surgery
JoyMG, a medical and aesthetic device specialist company, held a Renuvion small-group seminar at SH Plastic Surgery on Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 PM.
SH Plastic Surgery quickly adopted Renuvion after it received domestic approval and has been actively utilizing it to accumulate numerous cases. Based on this experience,
they organized this seminar to introduce Renuvion.
Dr. Kim Sung-hoon, Director of SH Plastic Surgery, stated, “I believe that various energy-based devices, including Renuvion, are ultimately tools to achieve results.” He added, “Across anti-aging surgeries for middle-aged patients, such as facelifts, forehead lifts, and correcting sagging eyelids,
we will continue our research not only to deliver procedure results but also to consider the burden patients must endure,
thereby creating tangible changes that patients can truly feel.”
The event consisted of lectures introducing Renuvion's technical characteristics and procedural protocols, along with live demonstrations performed on the face and neck areas.
Centered around a small group of attendees, this seminar focused on step-by-step sharing from understanding the device's principles to
the actual clinical application process.

Renuvion is a U.S. FDA-approved medical device for skin contraction and elasticity improvement, known to be particularly effective in preventing and improving skin laxity that may occur after liposuction.
It is the only FDA-approved device for use following liposuction, improving loose skin on the neck and jawline, and contracting subcutaneous soft tissue wherever needed on the body.
Its primary application areas include improving skin sagging caused by aging, rapid weight loss, childbirth, and liposuction. Its defining feature is that it is designed to improve sagging skin problems—for which alternatives other than incisional surgery were previously limited—using non-incisional energy delivery technology.
A notable characteristic is that it rapidly reaches approximately 85°C, the ideal temperature for tissue contraction, within 0.044 seconds.
Through this, it selectively contracts only the fibrous tissue in the target area
while minimizing thermal spread to surrounding tissues. It was explained that during this process, immediate collagen contraction is induced alongside the stimulation of regeneration, allowing one to expect instant elasticity improvement.
Regarding clinical application, the impact of not only power and gas flow settings but also treatment speed and pass management on the results
was repeatedly emphasized.

Following the lecture, Director Kim Sung-hoon conducted a live Renuvion demonstration. The procedure that day was centered on the face and neck areas, and
the overall process of inducing skin tightening using Renuvion was explained alongside the actual treatment. Director Kim Sung-hoon stated his plan to sequentially demonstrate the range in which Renuvion can be applied across the entire face, including the forehead, midface, double chin, and neck, as he carried out the procedure.
Director Kim Sung-hoon shared his personal impressions from using Renuvion in practice,
as well as his expectations and insights regarding Renuvion, whose clinical safety and efficacy have been proven through FDA approval.

Unlike large-scale academic conferences, this small-group seminar drew high interest from attendees because it was structured around immediately applicable practical details in clinical settings,
such as procedure setup, speed control, pass technique, gas evacuation management, and post-procedure cleaning and care.
